A Christmas Thought
If there had never been a Christmas
or the Holy Christ Child’s Birth,
Or the angels singing in the sky
of promised PEACE on EARTH–
What would the world be like today
with no ETERNAL GOAL,
What would the temporal body be
without a living soul–
Just what would give us courage
to push on when hope is dead
Except the Christmas [...]

Let Us Bring Him a Gift of Joy as Did the Little Drummer Boy
As once more we approach
the Birthday of OUR KING–
Do we search our hearts
for a GIFT we can bring,
Do we stand by in awe
like the small DRUMMER BOY
Who had no rare jewels,
not even a toy,
To lay at Christ’s Crib
like the Wise Men of [...]

At a fund-raiser dinner for a school that serves children with learning disabilities, the father of one of the students shared a story that would never be forgotten by all who attended.  After highly praising the school and its dedicated staff, he shared this:

God built a continent with glory, and filled it with treasures untold.  He bedecked it with soft, rolling prairies, and pillared it with thundering mountains.
He studded it with sweet flowing fountains, and encompassed it with long, winding streams.  He graced it with deep, shadowed forests, and filled them with song.
